Diono Monterey Best Booster!

It's been about a week and I have to say we really love the Diono Monterey Booster!

We couldn't try out these booster seats for our twin 5 year old boys in stores so we had to rely on reviews, which all seemed to be great.

This was our criteria - safety, comfort, ease of use, longevity and price.

The boys had spent the last few years in Britax Marathon, we loved these seats for the safety, comfort and easy instal. I imagined going Britax again but .....wasn't ready to move away from the latch system. We did try out the Graco Turbo Booster- my son found it to be uncomfortable. Then he sat in the Britax Frontier, he said it was comfortable, but the price threw me, I simply could not afford it. The Britax Parkway was deemed comfortable by the kids but doesn't have Latch anchors and one of my boys isn't yet 40 pounds. Car seat for kids

The Diono Monterey fit the bill for us, it's very soft and padded, the back and side head protection is not obtrusive. We love that it uses the latch system, is highly adjustable, and very cool looking. The children fit the seats well and even though they seem to have plenty of growing room they also don't look to be swimming in the seats either. It fits into our Honda CR-V perfectly. We are very happy and glad we took the risk of ordering these based solely on the positive reviews. REVIEWS..........

Safe and easy February 28, 2013

I love this carseat. It is super easy to adjust straps while baby is in seat. It also latches into the base easily. I feel like it is extreamly safe for my little one and isn't to heavy to carry. THe only drawback is that I don't feel like we needed it go up to 30 pounds. Our daughter outgrew it because of height by the time she was about 18 pounds. I bought mine through diapers.com and was very happy. If you use the code BAIL2798 I think you get 20% off your whole purchase but I don't know what the cap on discount is. Some amazon offers are pretty good too. REVIEWS..........

My wife and I recently got this and have been very impressed with it, In 12 years of Law Enforcement experience, I have never seen a car seat made from such durable materials. I feel completely safe putting any of my three kids in this seat. It is heavy, but that is directly related to the high density materials it is made out of. Love these narrow seats! February 1, 2013

Pros: We bought 2 of these in Shadow to replace our old "Radian 80sl" and a "Graco SnugRide 30" after a small accident. We have a 7mon old and a 3 year old. They both have been doing great in their new seats. It has a steel reinforced frame, soft and comfy cushions, it looks and feels high quality, and the seats are nice and narrow. I installed the car seats next to each other so the 3rd seat can be used by another person when needed. Everyone fits comfortably. It's easy to adjust the straps too.

Small Con: It's a tight fit when installing it rear-facing. But Diono has a new product called the Diono Angle Adjuster. It props the car seat up a certain way to give you more room between it, and the passenger seat in front of it. The angle adjuster really does work. It's meant to be used after your child is 1yr old or has proper head control (since the child will sit at a steeper angle).

Caution: Please read the instruction manual when you attempt to install the seat. It can be used in a lot of different ways and has a lot of parts. It can easily be installed wrong if you aren't careful. :)

Conclusion: I feel very secure knowing my kids are in these seats. REVIEWS..........

This is our third Radian convertible carseat and here I am ordering our fourth (2 kids X 2 cars). This new one is essentially the same as our two-year old ones, with the addition of a cup holder. The seat feels solid and heavy duty. It is also easy to install rear- and forward-facing, assuming you are able to lift it (these seats are fairly hefty); however, with that said, read, follow, and KEEP the instruction manual - same for the straps used for the various configurations and child weights. The only drawback for us was the amount of rear-seat legroom eaten up in the rear-facing position, but we did make it work with two compact cars - front passengers just can't be terribly tall. Our infant hated the Graco carrier and screamed, now he just goes to sleep in his Radian. REVIEWS..........
