Very nice carseat!, September 5, 2013

This is our second Graco infant carseat. The first was for our now 2 year old when she was a newborn. We were new parents trying to get everything on a budget, so opted for a graco snugride, the fabric seemed a little cheap and had next to zero padding. By 7 months we had to upgrade her to a convertible seat. This time around I wanted to learn from my mistakes.

Out of the box I could tell this was a better quality material, and the adjustable strap pull at the base makes it so much easier to get the best fit on your little one. I already knew graco made sturdy products and I couldn't be more pleased with this seat. There is more built in cushion, so I feel my new little one will be comfortable and safe. In other reviews people had mentioned the shade being noisy and not extending as far as they had wanted. It does crinkle when being moved up and down, but I don't see that as being a deal breaker. In anticipation of the arrival of our third child, we bought this car seat to use in our sedan. We didn't want to buy a new car or invest in all new car seats to make that happen. We started shopping around and figure that a 17in. wide infant car seat will do. I believe this is the only one that fits our need. We are able to use our Britax Marathon, a Graco booster and this infant car seat all in one row. This car seat works out perfectly for us plus we don't need to compromise on quality or style. This is the second Graco Snugride I have purchased as the first reached it's expiration date and my third child still needed a rear-facing car seat. I love that this carseat is light and easy to carry. My kids have never reached the 22lb limit before I wanted them in a traditional carseat anyway, so that has never been an issue. I love that this new carseat is now rated for side impacts as my old one was not. One of the biggest pluses to this carseat is that the sunshade has a stiff front and back so it can come all the way forward to block the sun from the rear in the car. I have yet to find another carseat that has this feature. It keeps me coming back to Graco every time. REVIEWS..........

This is a great booster. It was easily assembled and my daughter loves the pink and the cup holders. The only negative is that the seat belt comes out of the positioner each time we unbuckle (never when driving) so I have to put it back in each time. I have been reluctant to get a booster seat for my 2 kids since I invested in those convertible carseats that go up 100 lbs. Plus I know that 5-pt harness is safest.

But then the older the kids get the more activities they do...birthday parties, sports, theater, playdates, field trips, camp, etc. Transferring those bulky car seats is painfully inconvenient. So I got this booster seat for 5-year old daughter. And all I can say is, THANK GOODNESS! This seat is light, takes seconds to transfer from one car to another, and most importantly she is so much more comfortable in this than her convertible carseat. The side headrest cradles her head when she falls asleep unlike her convertible carseat where she just sort of slumps forward. She refuses to go back to her convertible carseat and I don't blame her! This was supposed to be our extra carseat but it's become the primary one for her now.

I have no complaints, I love this carseat and I can't wait to get another one as soon as my son turns 3 in a few months. REVIEWS..........

Perfect car seat for me and my family!!

Extensively researched many car seats, my son is moving out of his infant carrier and i don't want to buy another seat for him after this one.

Yes, this one is on the more expensive side but i believe it is worth every penny. Plenty of room to grow (out and up), many seat settings (you will only have one permanent one for each "mode" but the variety is perfect to customize fit for each car).

It is a bit heavy but due to the steel bars i wouldn't expect anything less and i don't plan on moving it around too much (small price for the security it provides). Also, the weight is something i can handle if i need to.

i read all reviews on amazon, babiesrus and other web sites just to know what i was getting into and although highly rated it may not be for everyone. smaller cars i could see being a problem. i have a jeep grand Cherokee and this seat is positioned in the center of the rear bench. If it were on the sides of the bench, there would be some limits to the passenger in the front seat in regards to how far the seat could move back (but we had that issue with the infant carrier too... not a problem for us). however in the center of my car, both of my front chairs move all the way back if needed without compromising the car seat.

i have only used it in rear facing mode so far but i feel that is the most difficult position in a car with this particular car seat.

I also tested it with my infant carrier (chicco keyfit 30) in the side seat next to it (we plan on another child at some point) and it fits just fine. it is a bit snug but everything fits and works as it should.

my son also seems very happy to be in this seat as opposed to others so it must be pretty comfortable for him or he would be really squirmy. REVIEWS..........

This Highback TurboBooster Car Seat was an upgrade to our old car seat option he was using beforehand. This was a great choice. It has adjustments for him as he grows. W has always been a big guy and grown out of seats, clothes, and shoes way to fast as my 5-year-old that is for sure. Just glad they are pretty much on the same level for most things. This booster seat is so much easier to install in the car VS the locking the clips in. When we bought our new car I wanted something easy to put in and out. Then we found out the very back row only takes booster seats. The quality of this booster seat is great and handles well to getting in and out of the car. The seat belt piece that red piece you see above has an issue most the time holding the belt and I always have to keep putting it back in, it drives me nuts. It probably just one those things you need to build into things. The Graco seat is soft, cushioned well, handles well, and when he falls asleep in it, he is very comfortable minus the head bonking around. It has 2 round cup holders, which are pretty wide and hold pretty big cups well, the smaller cups seem to stay into place, and when he is done he can just push it back in. When you put this bad boy together its pretty easy once you get the whole bend down and clip in and fold up. Then you can find a red rod to use to adjust this seat as your kiddo grows into it, which is handy, we have yet been there and he weighs about 50 pounds at 3 years old. REVIEWS..........

This is actually the second Graco My Ride 65 car seat we've purchased. We had one for my baby from 4 months old- 11 months old when we were in a car accident. A car hit us head on and then we were hit from behind by a dump truck. The car was totaled but with my baby in this seat, he came away without even a bruise or bump to show for it! I immediately decided to replace it with the same seat that protected my child so well.

Besides being so safe, I love that my child will be able to fit in it for such a long time. He loves sitting in it and it seems really comfortable for him. The straps are really easy to adjust also, which is wonderful when working about winter coats and such. Excellent car seat!

I just bought this car seat a few weeks ago from Amazon and I love it. Originally I bought the Graco Nautilus car seat because of all the great reviews. It had a lot of nice features, but my little boy just didn't like it. He cried every time he got in it. With this car seat it is so comfy and roomy for him and he really likes riding in it. It sits higher than other car seats so he can see out of the window better and there is a lot of padding to make it comfortable. It also has sides that he can lean his head on easily to go to sleep. I don't have the latch system in my car, but it was very easy to install and very stable. I also really love the color. It is very neutral and looks even better than the picture. The cover comes off very easily to wash. Overall I think this carseat is wonderful and I highly recommend it. REVIEWS..........

I love my Graco Snugride 35!

I purchased the SnugRide 35 for my little man because I knew it would last far longer than any other infant carrier carseat and more importantly, he would be safe. He is 16 months old and has just reached the maximum length of 32". The carseat is definitely heavy with him in it, but I can still easily lift him from car to grocery cart or stroller and can still carry it short distances. This is especially helpful when he has fallen asleep!

The cover has seen its share of leaky diapers and newborn spit up and is very easy to clean. It is mashine washable and dries thoroughly when hung up overnight. The straps are easy to unthread for cover removal and the strap covers have velco for quick and easy removal and spot cleaning. It was easy to adjust the straps as my son grew.

My only complaint is that the strength of the canopy has started to wear. When the canopy is pulled back, it falls to a lowered position behind the seat. It is not a problem, just a visual pet peeve on my part. Keep in mind, of course, that my son likes to play peek-a-boo with me by pulling the canopy back and forth over his face.

Also, I did and still do use this in conjunction with the Graco Car Seat Frame Stroller, which I highly recommend. It served me well, especially after a c-section. It is so light to lift and easy to push instead of a bulky travel system. REVIEWS..........

This is actually the second Graco My Ride 65 car seat we've purchased. We had one for my baby from 4 months old- 11 months old when we were in a car accident. A car hit us head on and then we were hit from behind by a dump truck. The car was totaled but with my baby in this seat, he came away without even a bruise or bump to show for it! I immediately decided to replace it with the same seat that protected my child so well.

Besides being so safe, I love that my child will be able to fit in it for such a long time. He loves sitting in it and it seems really comfortable for him. The straps are really easy to adjust also, which is wonderful when working about winter coats and such. It is a rather large seat and might not fit well in small vehicles, but we love ours! REVIEWS..........

We love the seat. Our little boy is in the 90% for height. So he grew out of his seat at 8 months. So we needed something bigger that could transition from backward to forward facing. This fit the bill within the price we were willing to spend. Its does feel a bit loose compared to having a base car seat, but we had it checked and know he is safe. Its has been easy for my husband to switch it over from car to car also. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and family! REVIEWS..........

I bought it because it is recommended by Consumer Reports and also it is probably the narrowest booster seat out there with good test results. My child is happy with it. Oh, and the price is right too, much cheaper than Britax which I also have for my other child. Comparing between the two of them, the Britax probably has slightly better fabric, but in terms of cushioning, I find them pretty much the same. REVIEWS..........

Saved my kids in a recent car accident

We were in a car accident on July 27, 2009. We were merging onto a highway from a side street that has a merge lane. The driver in front of me suddenly stopped because the driver in front of her suddenly stopped. I was looking over my should to merge, and just at the moment I looked forward we hit the car in front of s, going about 20 mph. The air bag went off and our Toyota Sienna minivan was totaled. My 3 1/2 year old 34 pound son was completely unharmed in the back seat with this booster seat. My 1 week shy of becoming a 5 year old had some shoulder belt bruising, but no other injuries. My 6 1/2 year old had more bruising in a booster with a back, but I think that is because of 2 reasons: she was in the middle row and the height needed to be adjusted to the back of her carseat. Booster seats saved our kids from further injury, and possibly death (due to internal or other injuries). We purchased boosters with backs as our replacement seats, but the backs can be removed.
