Bought this for my 3rd child. Why? Because it was the cheapest one. It doesn't appear to be any less safe than the more expensive ones. It's just as heavy and a pain to carry with a baby inside as the more expensive ones too. It does the job it's intended to do, and appears to be very durable. No problems with the base at all. I purchased 2 seats originaly in January and just bought a third! I have 2 in black and one in grey. The seats are cushioned very well and just took a very long trip with my 2 year old and he never complained! Im not sure what the other reviews were in reference to the buckles being an issue. Its possible that it was just that seat. Mine are fine on all 3 seats! Perfect Slim line seat especially when you have multiple carseats installed!

We chose to get the Graco Nautilus for our twins when they were 2. They're great carseats for harness but they're bulky taking up a lot of space and HEAVY. Also, they just switched to buckling with the car seatbelt and struggle constantly to buckle themselves because it is so bulky the seat belt locks up everytime they try which has left me searching for new boosters for them (meaning the $200 I spent to never buy another carseat was wasted). Our 2 year old is ready for an upgrade from his Graco My Ride carseat so I started shopping around again because (with recent developments, we decided against the Nautilus for him). I wanted a couple specific features in the carseat I bought for him which included high harness weight (65lbs), above regulation safety, and built in cup holders. Well this seat has all of that and then some. We just got it on Friday and although it too a little getting used to with the new harness straps that buckle on instead of clip onto the hooks in my car once I got the hang of it the seat will not budge because I can get it so tight. There are TWO built in cup holders (which it wonderful because when we travel we always need more room, one cup holder for food and one for cup) Also, the design is sleek so it gives us more room in our suburban for other kids (since we have 4 and babysit 2 and 5/6 are in carseats this extra space is a life saver), however there is still plenty of room for our sons behind in the seat to let him be comfortable without being squashed into the seat and it curves enough that when he falls asleep his head and body rest back against the seat instead of being left to slump forward. Beautiful seat,wonderful soft material that is removable to wash (haven't had to yet), cup holders go in easily.. you just have to turn seat over to make sure it is clicked in all the way.

Lower buckle a little tougher then my Britax but I think it is intentional so the child cannot undo it, my four year old can undo the top one easily as on his Britax. Great choice for booster seat, I plan on using it as long as I can and then it will go to my younger one. Can buy a backless one for fifteen bucks so it wasn't important to me that the back was removable or not. Love the color, has latch and tether system to install in car. My four year old loves it, he is 42 inches tall, 39 pounds..still plenty of room to grow. I bought this because he was too tall for his Britax and I wanted him to still have 5 point harness as long as he can. Eventually will position belt through there when no longer in 5 point harness. We have never used anything but evenflo. Our first 3 seats from them yes three because my son was in two car accidents one being a side impact and WALKED AWAY even though the car was totaled. Just a quick safety tip after a seat is in an accident it needs to be thrown away. Cut the straps and throw it away. Your insurance company should cover another one. My son is now taller and We needed to upgrade to a larger seat and evenflo was our first choice.

If your thinking about buying a cheap $50 car seat DONT DO IT. Being a Firefighter EMT I have see what happens with the cheap seats. The kids are hurt soooo much worse. They are made only at the lowest possible standard to pass.

I dont personally have kids, but in order to steal my nephew for an afternoon I needed to get a nice car seat that my sister (first time mom) would approve of. She personally paid over $300 for her car seat and she told me there was lots of swearing and sweat as her husband attempted to install their expensive top of the line car seat. I paid pennies for this car seat and it was super easy to install, had good reviews already and was super easy to take in and out of the car. My nephew is comfortable and its really easy to pull him out of the car and put him in. I also must say that this seat is compact. My sisters expensive car seat makes it impossible to sit other people in the back seat cause its sooo overly bulky. But this car seat is slimmer without loosing out on any protection or padding. I bought these car seats for the design and overall specifications! I looked for weeks to find the perfect one. I bought two the pink angels and blue angels for my two kids in January 2013 around the 15th and received them around the 24th! My son is almost 7 and my daughter is a little over 3. They both fit in the seat perfectly! I love how easy they was to put together (less than 10 minutes each), installation in car was easy as well as removing them, and cleaning care. I haven't used the booster without the back, but love the fact that they came with a seatbelt guide for them! I have been using them for two weeks when I got my new van. Don't let the simplicity of them fool you I can attest that they are very safe. Yesterday we was in a major drivers side impact I was pinned from dash collapsing and the door caving in and my door cut off to remove me. Both of my children got clean bill of health at the ER (the ER staff was impressed how union juried the kids was & that I used high back boosters unlike a lot parents who do the booster only option) walked away without a scratch, bruise, or even soreness! Me on other hand not so lucky. This is a great product and now that I have to replace these due to the accident I am defiantly buying them for a second time!

I bought 2 because I needed it for 2 cars, but my son, who's about 4 years old is also 42 inches tall and weighs about 40lbs. Keeping him in a forward facing convertible car seat (2-car seats: Britax Marathon and First Years True Fit) in our cars is nearly impossible in compact/subcompact cars (even though we will be upgrading to a full sized SUV) was getting tighter and probably was very unsafe with his legs pressed against the back seat. After he complained of his legs being pressed up against the seat, I bought a "flier" version from a Big Box retailer to try it out and saw the padding, high back feel, and quality of worksmanship and decided to use my gift certificates from Amazon. This seat is fantastic. I feel confident that, in the worst case scenario, this seat will keep him safe (and its highly rated in safety as well). I would recommend this.

THE PADDING IS MUCH THICKER THAN IT LOOKS IN THE PICTRE, AND THE COLORS ARE MUCH MORE VIBRANT IN PERSON! IT'S VERY LIGHT WEIGHT AS WELL! I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY'RE SELLING THIS FOR SUCH A LOW PRICE!!! I WOULD RECCOMEND THIS TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A CAR SEAT!!!!

Best value and surprisingly good March 22, 2013

After hemming and hawing between the cheap and sturdier models on Amazon, we went for this one. We were progressing from the Britax Roundabout and quite frankly were sick of spending all that money on items that would end up in a landfill in a few years anyway. We just wanted to be law-abiding parents and also make sure the diagonal seat belt didn't go across our 4-year-old's neck. The EvenFlo is great! Arms that lift up, two pull-out trays, easy to take the cover off and wash, compact, LIGHT and easy to move, easy to loop the seat belt through, and not monstrously ugly. The bonus is that the back can be removed. Contrary to some reviews, our child can sleep in it, because the back flexes into a more restful position when you tilt the car seat back. We find many boosters to be over-engineered; e.g., the latch system, the submarining thing, etc. etc. seem unnecessary to us. The Evenflo is more than good enough and is priced fairly. REVIEWS..........

Yeahhh, I like this, and I get so many compliments on the style of it. It also works terrific. It keeps him belted down without all the hastle of extra loops, belts, chains, and whips. Thats what the other ones remind me of. Anyway, great product, highly recommend to anyone who likes less gadgets, but gets the job done.
